We are looking for a highly skilled Manager – Operations Application Support to join us. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about application support and people management to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of IT and operational service delivery.

Key responsibilities:

• Mentor and develop the team, fostering a positive, high-performance culture and ensuring that staff are equipped to meet operational needs.

• Lead and manage the Operations Application Support team, ensuring effective support and service delivery across the business.

• Work closely with our Head of IT and Senior Operational Leaders to drive improvements in service delivery and meet both operational and long-term business goals.

• Oversee the nGen system and associated applications, ensuring that it evolves to meet operational needs, complies with legislation, and maintains service continuity.

• Act as the primary point of contact for all issues related to service delivery, managing incidents, escalations, and customer communication effectively.

• Manage the testing, implementation, and regular upgrades of nGen, ensuring operational service continuity.

• Identify and drive service improvement initiatives, focusing on both technical and process improvements.

• Mentor and develop the team, fostering a positive, high-performance culture and ensuring that staff are equipped to meet operational needs.

• Manage vendor relationships and ensure external services align with internal business requirements and performance expectations.

Essential Criteria:

• Strong people management skills, with the ability to lead, mentor and develop high-performing teams.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders and IT teams.

• Proven experience in Senior Application Support or Application Support Manager role, with a focus on IT service delivery and system management.

• Solid understanding of ITIL and experience applying it to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.

• Proven ability to manage complex incidents and escalations, ensuring fast and effective resolutions.

•   Experience in driving service improvement initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement and process optimization.

• Ability to work full time in Australia and obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
